Resources to help you improve your English

We’ve had a lot of people ask us to share what we read, watch or listen to. So I thought I’d share some resources to help you improve your English here!

1. Watch on YouTube: Learn English with Papa Teach Me

Madam Azimah introduced this to us. She finds his videos helpful and hilarious at the same time. “Papa” (his real name is Ally) is based in London and releases new videos to help people with their English two times a week.

Great for beginner level English.

2. Read: Five Stars: The Communication Secrets to Get from Good to Great

This is a book about communication and the art of persuasion. The author, Carmine Gallo, is a business communication expert, popular keynote speaker, and author of several bestselling business books. He argues that communication is no longer a “soft skill”. It’s a skill that will give you the advantage in today’s knowledge economy.

Great for intermediate to advanced readers.

3. App: Wordup

This is an app that I just found out about today after Madam Azimah shared it with us. It’s for learning new English words and improving your vocabulary. Download it today, and you can test how many English words you know. It even helps you to memorise as many words as you need to get to the next level of mastery.

Great for all levels of English.

4. Website/Course: My English Matters

Of course we’d recommend our own website 😉 We post English and communication lessons every single week. And if you are a serious learner and want to be our student, we also offer Communicate with Confidence, the online course for adults who want to improve their English and boost their interpersonal skills at the workplace. Our course will be open for registration in 2020.

Great for all levels of English.

I hope you’ll check out the resources to improve your English that I’ve shared above.
