Right now, I’m supposed to be packing for an all-girls’ trip to Bangkok (flight is tonight!)! So I’m going to try and keep this one short! I was brainstorming in my head what I could write about today. I thought a book recommendation would be cool because it’s a book that I’m planning to read on my flight.

I’m reading a book called Radical Candor: How to Get What You Want By Saying What You Mean by Kim Scott.

I like to read books that are relevant to my work or my personal life. So right now, I’m working on being a better manager of the My English Matters team and business.

So if you’re a manager of a person or team (or maybe you just want to learn how to communicate with others better), then I highly recommend this book if your English is at the advanced level.

I’ve learnt a lot from this book so far.

One of them is this: to become a better leader, you need to personally care for your people AND challenge them directly.

Okay, I really need to start packing now.

Let us know by commenting on this post. What book are you reading and what’s ONE thing you’ve learnt from it so far?

We’ll talk to you again soon.

Best regards,
Amnah

P.S. I’ll probably end up watching a movie on the flight or sleeping, so please don’t judge me.
